Food Online Kitchen theme
Food Online Kitchen is a free block theme for restaurants, made to fit Food Online. Its six styles match the six Food Online menu designs, so the whole site gets the same look as the menu.
Install
Section titled “Install”- Download the Food Online Kitchen ZIP file from your Arosoft account.
- Go to Appearance → Themes → Add New Theme → Upload Theme, choose the ZIP file and click Install Now.
- Click Activate.
The theme needs WordPress 6.6 and PHP 7.4 or later. It also works without Food Online; the ordering patterns then stay hidden.
Choose a style
Section titled “Choose a style”Go to Appearance → Editor → Styles and pick the style that matches your menu design:
| Theme style | Menu design (Food Online Menu → Select layout template) |
|---|---|
| 2026 | 2026 Template |
| Valdemar Dark | Valdemar Dark |
| Ellen Noble | Ellen Noble |
| Einar’s Fusion | Einar’s Fusion |
| Arcade | Arcade |
| Street | Street |
You can change colors and fonts in the style afterwards. Settings in the Food Online Menu block always win over the theme.
- Ordering page: use the template Blank (content only, ordering pages) or Page without title, and add the pattern Ordering page (Food Online Menu Flow). See Menu page and design.
- Start page: the pattern Restaurant start page adds a hero, about, an order button and opening hours with location.
- Other templates: Page, wide content for wider pages.
Headers and footer
Section titled “Headers and footer”Choose a header under Appearance → Editor → Patterns → Template parts: standard, centered or sticky. The footer has opening hours and contact details; replace the sample text with your own.
Cart, checkout and order confirmation
Section titled “Cart, checkout and order confirmation”The theme has its own templates for these pages:
- Checkout and order confirmation use a focused header with your logo and a “Back to the menu” link.
- Steps, the order summary and the confirmation details are shown as cards in the theme colors.
- Food Online’s checkout blocks and time pickers follow the theme style.
The templates can be edited under Appearance → Editor → Templates.
The fonts are included in the theme and loaded from your own site, not from Google: Inter, Cormorant Garamond, Archivo, Anton, Archivo Black and Courier Prime.
